Biography
Shannon brings a distinctive combination of creativity, adaptability, and determination to her role at Finney Neill. Before beginning her career in accounting, she received her Bachelors in Fine Arts. She built a diverse professional background that included working as a bartender, game tester, and freelance graphic designer, a foundation that reflects both discipline, creative and a thoughtful approach to her problem-solving. Originally from Arlington, Virginia, Shannon spent much of her adult life in Baltimore, Maryland before relocating to Seattle.
At Finney Neill, Shannon has focused her career in the firm’s audit practice, where she works with nonprofit organizations and affordable housing projects. She has 2 years of experience in the profession, and has a strong capacity for growth and continuous learning. She takes pride in the progress she has made since joining the firm — mastering the complexities of audit work, building tax knowledge, and ultimately identifying auditing as her area of strength. Her commitment to developing her technical skills and delivering meaningful client service reflects the energy and professionalism she brings to her work every day.
What Shannon values most about Finney Neill is its culture and the genuine connection among its people. She was initially drawn to the firm by the way it highlighted team members not only as professionals, but as individuals with lives and interests outside the office — something that set Finney Neill apart during her search. That sense of community continues to be one of the aspects she appreciates most.
Outside of work, she enjoys camping, hiking, sailing, making art, and hosting dinner parties and barbecues.
