Biography

Curtis is a Tax Non-Profit Specialist Manager at Finney Neill who helps clients navigate compliance and reporting with clear guidance, steady execution, and a service-first mindset. Curtis brings over 9.5 years of public accounting experience—including one year in audit and the remainder in tax—and specializes in exempt organizations and nonprofit tax.

Before joining Finney Neill in 2024, Curtis worked in CohnReznick’s National Tax Office supporting exempt-organization tax services, where he developed a strong technical foundation and a practical approach to solving nuanced issues.
In addition to his nonprofit focus, Curtis has extensive experience working with trusts, partnerships, individuals, S corporations, and C corporations, giving him a well-rounded perspective across a wide range of client needs. He’s known for being reliable and taking true ownership of his engagements, staying on top of details and deadlines while maintaining a high standard for accuracy, communication, and follow-through. He aims to keep things moving smoothly, flag potential issues early, and make sure clients always know where things stand.

Originally from Chicago, Illinois, in 2014 Curtis did his undergraduate studies at Washington University in St. Louis. Curtis then completed his Master of Science in Accounting at DePaul University in 2017 while working full time and finished all CPA exams in one summer, reflecting the discipline and drive he brings to both his work and professional growth.


Outside the office, Curtis enjoys staying active through hiking and fitness, spending time with friends, family, and traveling—he’s visited more than 25 countries and is always excited for the next adventure!
